             exams: midterm and final

            grade: 40 % homework + 20 % midterm + 40 % final

            homework: will be assigned on Monday and is due next Monday. Typically you can expect
                                 5 problems from the book and other source such as comprehensive exams.

            recitation: there will be a recitation to practice doing problems under   exam conditions
                                       and  to discuss homework.
                                      Time will be discussed during the lecture

            office hours: when I am in my office (daily 9-6) or by specific appointment

               TA will be announced

               Copies of my notes will be put in the library and I will provide copies
               of the homework solutions.
